Last Friday night (August 22, 2008), the 6th 2008 BAZAAR Charity Party is held in Beijing. Celebrities including Zhang Ziyi, Vicky Zhao Wei, Jet Li, and John Woo attend the charity auction event. Entertainers from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan participate in the auction to help quake victims in Sichuan Province.
Korean pop idol group Super Junior-M’s presence at the party makes fans screaming. As the leader, Han Geng says that he and his group members pay close attention to charity and if there is a chance, he wants to put his personal belongings up for auction and donate the money.
As a Chinese, Han Geng is always proud of Chinese athletes. “I bought tickets for Liu Xiang’s games. Although Liu Xiang pulls out and disappoints many people, I think we should not blame him. Liu Xiang must want to finish the game himself.”
When asked whether he watch any Olympic games, Han Geng pretends to be ‘pitiful’ and says ‘We want to watch the games. However, we don’t have any ticket, so we have to watch the games on TV and cheer for China and Korea.”
